Borderless Healthcare Group launches the world’s first clinic-of-the-future platform, ‘Borderless.clinic’, to support governments and doctors in the world to manage cross-infection blind spot in the community and home

Borderless COVID-19 fighters to commence new COVID-19 defence in the communities and homes

29 April 2020 – Borderless Healthcare Group launches community health and home health solutions to stamp out community and home cross-infections. National lockdown, contact tracing and en masse testing by many countries may have missed out on a cluster of asymptomatic COVID-19 carriers partly responsible for a series of new surges in infection in countries such as Singapore, Korea and Indonesia etc.

The limited supply of testing kits and the inability of many countries to execute national testing in a short period of time due to lack of protective gears or simply the inability to round up the public for individual testing have created widespread loopholes in testing, thereby allowing ubiquitous asymptomatic carriers or undetected symptomatic carriers to continue to cross-infect within the community and the homes. Even the most accurate mobile tracking technology will only inform on the whereabouts of detected symptomatic carriers and not the abovementioned groups.

“It is realistic for every COVID-19 response team to execute community health management immediately with the assumption that COVID-19 cross-infections are already pervasive within the community. In addition, most COVID-19 response teams may have also missed out on another blind spot which is cross- infection within the same household. Hard-line government isolation policy often brings about fear and anxiety amongst certain segments of the public and people may be reluctant to come forth even if they are symptomatic due to the fear of isolation from their families or losing their jobs etc. The risk of cross- infection within the household is high and could potentially lead to new unpredictable community outbreaks despite the circuit breaker implemented by the government. The best medicine now is immediate implementation of community health with the option to extend to home health for long-term sustainable defence,” says Dr Wei Siang Yu, founder and chairman of Borderless Healthcare Group.

Borderless Healthcare Group is now rolling out a network of doctors gearing up as ‘Borderless COVID-19 Fighters’ in different countries where the clinic-of-the-future platform will be adopted to activate gadget- agnostic telehealth services via mobile, tablet, PC and even TV so to engage top COVID-19 experts from around the world to serve the public. In addition to infection and respiratory management of COVID-19, these top experts are also able to support in COVID-19 related issues such as fertility management, immunity boosting dietary advice, oncology management, psychological wellness etc.

The Borderless.clinic platform is the first-of-its-kind telehealth engine that allows family physicians in every country to create online-to-offline ‘borderless co-care’ model with top specialists in the world. The giant system already comes with more than twenty thousand pages of layman friendly content authored by renowned doctors and supported by a multi-lingual video call centre with optional blockchain and facial recognition capabilities.
